A Snow Day at Home!

It finally came our way....SNOW in our own yard and a day home from school. AHHHH....so NICE!!!! We were outside by 7:45....trying to build our 'dirt free' snowman. Dad came home for a little 4-wheeler ride. The girls and I went for a gorgious walk. Neighbor girls came over to play....
I got to catch up on blogging :) It was a great day!

Valentines Day

Valentines Day was so much fun! Jeremy and I had lunch alone (thanks to his mom watching Kaitlyn), I planned fun surprises for everyone's return home (school and work), Dad had special gifts (beautiful flowers) for each of his girls.....and we all had a special Valentine dinner and game night. I love finding ways to show my family how special they are to me, they mean the world to me!


We were able to see Grandma on the 13th. We are so glad she's in good hands and loves where she's at. She's in good health and we are always happy to see great-grandma!

Sewing Projects

I was able to utilize this adorable fabric mom and I saw for 50% off before Ally's birthday. The plan was to make the girls matching skirts for Christmas....that was acheived....the first item, made by mom, they could wear for everyday use! That led to matching barrets (thanks to Aunt Rachel), bags and blankets. All for $30!! It feels good to make things the girls love....my hope is that they will last and they will want to save them for their own children...as my mom and I did with many of the items she made me. I couldn't have done it without moms help on the skirts and bags. I'm feeling much more confident in my sewing :-)

2nd Grade Field Trip

I'm so happy I raced to the classroom to turn in my chaperone slip. Lots of other parents wanted to go and love volunteering. I felt the need to go and made sure we showed up to school early....only the first 2 parents got to go. This was such a fun opportunity to be with Ally and her friends from school. We all had a great time....have you ever considered what you'd want to be:
a worm, spider or a fly?

My Brother

He must know I blog! Why is it everytime we take a photo he chooses to make these weird faces as I snap the shot???? I am grateful for my brother, he makes me laugh and brings back good memories of our bond during our teenage years. He has adorable children, I love to see. I love the fact that he gives random calls here and there to check on me and just talk. Earlier this month, he was willing to sacrifice a morning of his time to help me with my living room. Who knew that a brother could give new ideas for your living room arrangement??? We've been here 5 1/2 years and have never had the space work this well.....I'll post pictures once I get the walls painted :-) Thanks Kevin for the time together and the great ideas...I'm amazed at how much better the furniture arrangement with new pillow covers (thanks to mom) and window draperies look. It's making our living space feel new again....so refreshing!
