Puppy Love?

Ally talks about her friend Mason, from kindergarden, ALL the time. I've had the opportunity to get to meet his mom and we both thought they should get together when a nice day came along. Yesterday, was the perfect day! 80 degrees and beautiful! Mason road the bus home with Ally and they had a GREAT time (as you can see below). It was nice not having any drama, which typically comes when we have girl friends over. Ally is a little disappointed that Mason will be moving at the end of May.

An Afternoon with the Tulips

We had a Sunday drive to visit the tulips this afternoon. It was a quick trip and unfortunately daddy was at home suffering with allergies. The girls and I each took turns with the camera. We each took shots of our favorite varieties. When we got home and shared the photos, daddy was sad he didn't join us. Sorry your feeling so miserable baby, but we still enjoyed the ride (would have been more fun with ya though)!

The collages are a new twist for me. The program I use automatically kicks photos into a collage...a few of the pics I would have placed differently, but I think it still turned out pretty incredible (I'm learning as I go)! Thanks for sharing your tips Alison!

Happy Birthday Jacob!

Happy Birthday Jacob! Jacob turned 2 on the 10th. We wish we could have been there to help celebrate.

Westin turned 1 on Easter Sunday. You keep getting cuter and cuter! See you in July little guy!

Easter with the Kanooth's

We had a great time celebrating Easter with the family. The kids had a great time being with their cousins. You'll notice I had a lot of fun taking pics of little Tori....I had so many cute ones, it was hard to pick and choose.

Ally and Audrey provided plenty of entertainment playing there favorite songs.

There are so many grandkids these days...that the eggs are coded per child. Tori goes for the green.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THOMAS! We condensed the gatherings and were able to celebrate little Thomas' birthday. Thomas turns 3 on the 17th. What a big boy!

School Work

The piles of craft projects, coloring pages and homework that the girls create have piled extremely high in our house. At first, I was putting them in a special cupboard. When the cupboard filled up, I began stacks on the counter; one for completed school work and and other for academic work I could help them with. The piles were out of control! I went through them and they stacked upto a 1 1/2 feet tall. I was sad to have to go through and throw many items away. Many I was unable to part with.

I will do my best to keep this under control. Here's a start. Keep up the good work girls....you know I'd keep them all if I could! We're so proud of all your hard work!

Spring Break...low key and A LOT of FUN!

Jeremy & I weren't able to get any time off for Spring Break, so with the spare time I had, the girls and I found a little fun each day. The following pics show a few of the things we were able to get out and do. It had been while since we did any of these things.


Kids Club...always a blast! Arica and her girls joined us for a morning of fun; tunnels, slides and more slides. This was the first time the kids could find the "snake slide" by themselves (It's about 3 levels high through a huge obsticle course...I was so glad I only had to show them the way once...it can be a killer on the knees). All 6 girls had a blast together. The only regrets; Arica ditched out early and I forgot my camera (this was taken from my phone).


On our way to OMSI, the girls and I had fun doing a little photo session in the back seat of Dad's jeep...it's always fun to SQUEEZE in :)

My Mona Lisa's




CURIOUS KAITLYN! Kaitlyn was everywhere! Once we got out of the DaVinci exhibit, she was intrigued by everything in site. She literally ran from one thing to the next for an hour and a half. I'm glad there were so many hands-on items for her busy hands to explore.


I LOVE THIS PICTURE...she carried this looking glass with her through the whole reptile exhibit.


Ally was always amazed by the things she saw, but we never could catch much of a expression from her until she saw the huge spider (see below).


The TARANTULA! As you can see from the expressions, they were shocked that a spider could be so big. When I told them that these spiders live down by their cousin Emily, they were a bit concerned.


"Ally, should I take it out of the cage?" I love the look of horror! LOL


This was one of favorites. Take little paper cups and cut them around the rim, place them above an air source and watch the saucers fly. Some of them about reached the ceiling.

Nice weather. Thank goodness we had nice weather towards the end of vacation. We were able to be outside the final two days.


ALL of us were happy when the sun came out! The animals had missed their sweet girls coming out to play.


Cocoa got up right as I snapped this shot. She and Cloe had been sleeping in their favorite corner. I was surprised I was able to get so close before they awoke and stood up.

Rainbow

Have you ever seen a rainbow like this? I sure haven't. I was able to take this picture, from my phone, on my way home Wednesday....glad no one caught me taking it while I was driving...I couldn't help myself :)

Family Night

The girls planned a wonderful family night (thanks to an idea from "The Friend" magazine). The girls made apple crisp (by themselves) for dessert and created wonderful visuals for the lesson. The lesson focused on the Tree of Life from Lehi vision (in the Book of Mormon). Ally created the tree, Kaitlyn created the fruit, they both wrote scripture references on the fruit to help us all research and identify many of the blessings from our Heavenly Father. GREAT JOB girls! And thanks for joining us Grandma & Grandpa!
